Walla Crag (230m), Bleaberry Fell (379m), High Seat (608m), High Tove (515m), Armboth Fell (479m), Ullscarf (726m), High Raise (762m) and Sergeant Man (720m)

We went to the Lake District late on Tuesday afternoon and set off on a two day walk. We walked up Walla Crag from Castle Rigg.

Walla Crag (230m)
Then we walked up Bleaberry fell and then set up camp near to High Seat.
Blencathra from the top of Bleaberry Fell (379m)

Our worst ever camp site.
We had to walk a long way for water because it had not rained for a while. I needed to use Alistair's stove because I had ran out of gas.

The Next day we got up early. The weather was drizzly and at times foggy so we had to use a compass at times to navigate.
Wet and foggy conditions on High Seat (608m)

High Tove (515m).
When we got to the top of High Tove we took a bearing to Armboth Fell. We did this as there was not an obvious peak to aim for.

Taking a 'reciprocal' bearing back to High Tove from
Armboth
After leaving Armboth it was difficult finding a way through the bogs back to the path.

Ullscarf (726m)
We followed (hand railed) a fence close (about 500m) to Ullscarf. Because it was foggy and because the fence was no longer there we took a bearing from a key place and paced our steps to the top; we were pretty close.

High raise ((762m)
When I got to the top of High Raise I was feeling really tired so we decided to head down.

Stickle Tarn from Sergeant Man (720m) the start of our descent.
On the way down we quickly bagged Sergeant Man. Because I was tired and it was bumpy I struggled on the way down. But when I got to the bottom, had a drink and a bite to eat I felt much better.
